Jenny’s Day Off - 12/11/2011

Well…clock just hit noon and I have yet to get out of bed which means this Sunday is going to be a lot less eventful as the last. On the agenda today are errands, and lots of them. And then the gym with The Hubs once he finishes work.  Okay — let’s get this party started.

So… Gospel Brunch was awesome, and then got super churchy, so we left. Post-brunch, I b-lined to a bead shop (failed Xmas present purchase attempt) and then to a second viewing of Breaking Dawn with friend Susan.

Movie was epic. Better the second time around for sure.

After dropping Susan off in Hipsterville - aka Logan Square - thought of my BFF Dorr, who lives in that hood and I hadn’t seen in a while. Called her, she was home, stopped by to hang and catch up.

Then, we bolted to Avec for dinner and drinks and entertainment care of Marcus (featured in pic). Five hours later, delish red wine and scrumptious food and delightful girl-time, I am home and in bed. Another Sunday-Funday done. Quite the eventful first entry :)

Text comes through late Saturday night from my friend Jane with an invite to the House of Blues’ Gospel Brunch. Killer text, right? So naturally - I accept and here we are. Crazy feast with some stellar pipes blasting in the background.
Great way to start the day…

Jenny’s Day Off - 12/4/2011

I woke up crazy early today - like before 5am - for absolutely no reason. Spent a couple of hours Percolating (excellent site for curating content on web).

Finally fell back asleep - and am now en route to a breakfast extravaganza. Pics & post to follow.

What I do on Sundays…

Siting at dinner with The Husband, talking about what I’m going to do tomorrow.

For my audience, here are the details that add color to this post:

- my husband works on Sundays
- and I get the car

:)

So basically, Sundays are my fun-days and I do random things — things that are indulgent, and girlie, and lazy as all get-up.

In the spirit of one of my fave cooking shows “Chuck’s Day Off”, I’m going to start letting you in to What I do on Sundays… aka “Jenny’s Day Off” :)

This starts demain — Enjoy!
